We continued to walk and allowed each other a moment of silence. There was a lot of feelings and information to process on both of our ends.
At a distance, I could see we were getting close to the giant-sized versions of the Sacred – their temples. Outside the giants there were much smaller beings (about our size) that surrounded them. They were also made out of symbols and letters. It looked like they were having a society or town meeting.
My father stopped mid-step and turned to look at me. Grabbing a rubber band from his wrist, he bunched his long hair into a ponytail. He then took a deep breath with his nose and began to speak.
“My older brother, Juan, took care of me Son. He taught me the importance of education and learning. The first book he ever gave me was when I was 13 years old was, “El Origen del Hombre” by Charles Darwin. Any time he would see me slack from my studies, he would scold me. But other than that – that was it, your grandfather was busy working day and night to support our large family and your grandmother was busy taking care of the house chores and all the kids. So when your Uncle Juan left to college in Morelia, Mexico – I was left without my older brother and my mentor. So a lot of my teachers after him came from reading books. The reality is though, that we are constantly evolving beings so I realize now that I could not learn how to live through a book. But on the other hand, some of those things I’ve done in life happened because they pertain to me – they where meant for me to go through. The reality is that through books I’ve traveled and I’ve met countless creativity masters and they all have told me the same thing – suffering is unnecessary – but it is an important indicator that is letting us know that it is time to change our course. I now understand my course - my role – my purpose in this lifetime – suffering has pointed me in the right direction – I am grateful for that. If it wouldn’t have given me that blow to the heart and mind then chances are I would have continued to go down an aimless path. I can now see my path and my plan down to the soul level.”
“Now, lets think deeper here – if we as a group, as a family chose these routes at a soul level, then you know that we chose this together – but because we are also flesh and bone at this moment in time I want there to be clarity between us in the flesh and bone,” he said
He reached and grabbed the back of my head and caressed it. “Please forgive me Son,” he said with a gentle smile and warmth in his eyes.
“You now know your soul plan, Son, don’t waste any more of your time suffering – you know the direction you need to aim for,” he said.
Very similar to the sun rising, I witnessed his personal glow surface and intensify – he was one with The All.
In the far distance, I heard the many voices of the Voice let out a piercing scream of anger. He knew my father had left his grasp.
