You know, one of the reasons why I got into organizing my own events, art exhibits and community projects is because of Brent Beltran. Yes, this true - I had gone to one of his fundraisers years ago – how he managed and treated everything and everybody was inspirational – I thanked him from a distance and ran with it. So, whenever he has an exhibit, community event, fundraiser etc – I try my best to be a part of his selection of artists.
Such is the inspiration and respect I have for him that I’ve interviewed him, sketched him, photographed him and was very close to painting a portrait of him several years ago – for X reasons - that lost momentum. Maybe, this year we can make it happen.
Till then, I’ll just keep doing my best to be a part of his undertakings.

"Who's Steering the Boat" A sketch/idea I’m working on to develop it as a painting for the upcoming art exhibit – Until Our Last Breath.
